I am a Naturalist both as an individual and in depiction of my art. As an individual, the innate artistic flare has evolved me as an artist who I am today and thoroughly influenced my outlook. As an artist, the sense of belongingness to this universe drives me to embrace the exuberance of nature in one’s work.

BIOGRAPHY
-
I was born in Shimla, India, known as the Queen of Hills, in 1969 and completed my studies in Chandigarh, India, known as the City Beautiful.
The vibrant moods of both these cities, one known for its natural beauty and other for its urban planning excellence, has left a lasting impact on me as an artist.
Later, settling in United Kingdom, in pursuit of career goals, has transformed the life immensely. For 20 long years, I was busy attaining the familial and professional stability in my life. Nevertheless, the real passion for painting kept calling me continuously.
My inner voice now calls me to dive deep into this ocean of colours and art.

WORK EXPERIENCE
I have attempted to gain experience in my work through various mediums. In my earlier days, I started painting classes with young painters to learn more forms through the technique of learning by doing. This experience helped me to seek knowledge about different forms of art and being innovative in my approach. Further, I, individually, organized self-financed exhibitions to learn about the saleability of my work. Though, commercialization has not been my objective, my heart yearned for seeking greater recognition in the field. These exhibition helped me to gauge the perception of people regarding the form of art they really appreciated and want to take home. Hence, the work experience origins from the pragmatic approach that I adopted towards my work over the period of time.

COLLABORATIONS
Collaborations and projects are at my sleeves for proliferation of my art work. For commercialization of my work, I look forward to align it with my Interior Designing business.I aim to collaborate with restaurants, schools, offices and other institutions to expand the body of my work. Further, I aim to organise exhibitions of my work for seeking greater acceptability and creating marketability

WORKS OF ART
Aiming to create work that display nature’s exceptional purity and sensibility, I mainly depict the relationship between nature and human beings. Each work displays some figures, stories and ideas that viewers could relate and reveal in an effortless way. I draw my inspiration from various sources such as flowers, interior magazines, ideas pertaining to human lives and values and so on. I experimented with modernization of religious idols such as Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Buddha so as to relate their enigmatic aura with current mindset of masses. In addition, fusion of Indian and English culture is also encapsulated in my work. I visualise to pursue my passion for painting, in future, in complete manner so as to create paintings that will be more liveable and compassionate.
